Laura Miner, the healthy recipe creator and food blogger behind Cook at Home Mom, knows a thing or two about real, whole foods – and how to get your kids to eat them.
Laura noticed that some of her family’s healthy eating habits began to slip while her kids were doing virtual schooling during the COVID-19 lockdowns, and worried that they weren’t getting enough fruits and vegetables during the day. “When 3pm rolls around, my kids are very much ready to snack again, and I’m trying to make sure that we don’t cross into hangry territory,” says Laura. “I want to make up for some of what we missed with a little extra good stuff.”
Laura’s outdone herself with a ‘little extra good stuff’ that she came up with: a kid-friendly Char-FRUIT-erie Board – the perfect afternoon snack to hold the kids over to dinner. Good news: The beautiful dish is surprisingly easy to replicate. Check out the recipe below, and share your take on the fun dish with us on Instagram!
